Support Your Library

Dear Library Friends,

I am thrilled to announce that under the leadership of our past President our 2023 Annual Appeal was the most successful in years. The Friends of Clarence Dillon Public Library (CDPL) was able to exceed our goal of $40,000 by more than $5,000, which allowed us to contribute an additional $10,000 to the Library.

We could not have become such a vital and innovative library without your generous contributions. For those of you who have a long history of supporting the Friends, we all thank you for your continued support. For those that may be interested in making a gift, we enthusiastically encourage you to join our team.

The CDPL is at the heart of our incredible community. For some it is a quiet destination where one can come to read the newspaper, write, browse for books or search the internet. For others, it is a lively destination for local activities with people of all ages participating in the various classes and lectures offered each month under the stewardship of our innovative Library Director, Marie Crenshaw.

To illustrate the powerful impact a donation to the Friends has on Somerset Hills, here are a few ways your gift helps to build a vibrant neighborhood:

  • Summer Reading Program for children.
  • Museum Day Pass, Major museums in the Tri-State area.
  • Story Time and StoryWalk for children.
  • Bridge, Canasta, Mahjong and Yoga classes.
  • Women’s Forum, Meet and discuss interesting topics.

We use 100% of the donations we receive to support the engaging and educational programming that are cherished by so many. This year’s goal is to raise $45,000. Please join us in our mission to raise the financial support needed to enrich CDPL and the deserving people it serves.

Thank you,

Elizabeth Glynn Valentine
President, Friends of CDPL
